If you print lots of labels or need to make regular changes you probably need your own label printer. This means you can print on-site as often as you need.
Whether you need a small thermal printer for courier & product labels or an industrial size barcode label printer, we can supply and deliver the best label printers across New Zealand. You can also buy blank thermal labels and thermal ribbon from us to keep your printer running.
All our thermal printer sales come with remote installation, and our technicians are available to provide their services in case your machine needs repair.
Our thermal printers are designed for reliable, cost-effective printing. The models we provide come in direct thermal only or both thermal transfer + direct thermal mode.
DIRECT THERMAL MODE
Uses heat-sensitive labels that darken to form barcodes, graphics and printed text as heat is applied by the printer’s print head. Direct thermal labels are suitable for short shelf-life labels which are not exposed to extreme light or heat.
THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING
Needs a ribbon to print and labels are suitable for many applications including product labels, manufacturing identification, asset tagging, shipping and carton labelling.
Thermal transfer print quality is superb, with sharp-high quality printing time-after-time. Thermal ribbons come in a range of colours including silver and gold.
Getting the right ribbon and label combinations is NB if you want your labels to be resistant against abrasion, heavy wear, temperature extremes and chemical/solvent exposure.

LABEL DESIGN SOFTWARE
Having good label software can make a huge difference to the quality of your labels, the efficiency of your team, and the reliability of your printing operations.
PRINTER OPTIONS
The quality & detail of the print depends on the printer resolution. Thermal printer options come in 203 dpi, 300 dpi and 600 dpi.

MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS STAND OUT
LABEL OVERPRINTING
If you have a wide range of labels requiring different information, overprinting gives you the flexibility to print on-demand only what you need, when you need it. Labels are supplied pre-printed with colours/logos/images and in a range of materials & finishes. You then overprint the variable information using a thermal transfer printer. This is a very cost-effective option, giving you flexibility and great looking labels.
INKJET LABEL PRINTERS
For printing full colour high-definition labels on-demand, inkjet printers are a good option. Die-cut inkjet labels come in paper and synthetic, with gloss and matt finishes. The Epson Colorworks C3500 and C6000 are among the top-selling inkjet printers. Ongoing consumable costs can be higher, but you have full control.
SHEET LABELS
If you are just getting started and don’t print a lot of labels, then sheet labels are a perfect solution. HERMA have a huge range of label sizes and materials that can be printed using your existing office printer/copier.
